Chapter 26

Danyal couldn't get off his dead father fast enough. His whole body spasming because of the stress, and he couldn't gather the strength to look up at the somber expression on Roman's face, luckily his brother was strong enough and the both of them. His lanky arms wrapped tightly around Danyal as he tried to squeeze all the love he had into his brother. Within seconds, both brother's shirts were damp with the other's tears. It was the last day Danyal let himself cry. A desperate cry for help help startled Danyal, letting go of Roman his eyes moved around the clearing but nothing seemed out of place. He turned around to ask Roman if he heard anything but he wasn't there, or more accurately Danyal wasn't there anymore, instead he was in the middle of a snowy forest. It was dark out, and the frosty ground crunched under his heavy boots as he turned in a circle. A light glimmer from the moon peered through the tall pines, creating strange shadows that danced around him.
