Chapter 15

The officer proceeded to hand Will his divorce certificate. A wave of panic flooded Will's heart the moment he laid eyes on it. He took the certificate and stood there, unmoving. He had first assumed that the officer had made a mistake. However, he quickly noticed his and Hollie's names printed on the certificate. Will traced his finger over the official stamp on the certificate, as if he were trying to prove that the certificate was fake. When the answer became apparent, Will shook his head in disbelief. "That can't be. That's impossible." He proceeded to turn to the officer as he roared, "Didn't I specifically tell you to delay the process and ensure that the application would never go through? Did my words mean nothing to you? "How could you screw this up? What have you all been doing? Call your manager here now!" Seeing Will lose his temper, the officer explained flusteredly, "Mr. Henderson, your ex-wife was the one who had ensured the divorce application was processed.
