Chapter 24 Never Have the Time for That
When Juliet said that, all three of them had different thoughts.
Gardenia felt a wave of relief, thinking that at least for now, Juliet hadn't caught on to anything. It looked like she might be able to keep the truth hidden until Juliet left the country.
Ansel, however, turned his gaze to Gardenia. His stare nearly made her lose her composure.
Why was he staring? Was he afraid that Juliet wouldn't catch on or something?
Thankfully, he only stared for a few seconds before turning his attention to Juliet. He said flatly, "I won't marry you."
He never would. He had never even considered it.
"Are you seriously going to pretend in front of Gardenia?" Juliet pursed her lips, sounding as if she had just caught him in a lie.
She smugly added, "She already told me you asked her to come back to attend our engagement party!"
