Callum was desperate to prove himself, but Roxanne looked away. "You said Zoey's in the labor camp?" she asked evenly. Hope flickered in Callum's eyes. He nodded eagerly and said, "Yes. After you left, I had her sent there. I swear I won't go soft on her again. Everything she once did to smear you—I've made her compensate double. Let me show you, Roxanne." He watched her anxiously, terrified she would refuse. Though Roxanne still looked unfazed, she eventually nodded. Callum was ecstatic.
