Emmett yelled angrily, "Do you think you can escape being punished by the law just by pretending to play dead? Get up right now!" Dwayne stepped forward, wanting to personally drag Yosef up to his feet. Knowing how rough and brutish he was, Charlotte's entire body trembled violently. "You damned bastards! You're more beasts than humans! Get away!" Dwayne snickered to himself when he noticed how pretty Charlotte was. "You'll be able to tell if I'm a beast or human once I get you in my bed, miss," he said as he tried to grab her. Jack approached them without a word and slapped Dwayne hard across the face, sending him soaring through the air with a pained grunt. Emmett's temper exploded upon witnessing the scene.
