Chapter 1909
"Get lost!" The middle-aged man kicked Ollie again, sending him sprawling to the ground.
Then he said, "Ollie, listen to me. Trickery is part of the fight. This world is governed by survival of the fittest; don't expect your enemy to play fair. Not only did you lose today, but you actually begged for mercy. You've brought utter shame on the Hayner family."
Ollie shook his head frantically and explained, "Dad, I-I just didn't want to die. The overwhelming pressure consumed me."
Horatio looked into his son's terrified eyes and said coldly, "Son, some things are worth far more than life itself, like dignity and the honor of our family. You should learn from your brother. He has a heart made of steel; no pressure could bend him."
Tears streamed down Ollie's face. "I'm nothing like my brother. I only want to stay alive. Dad, you don't know how it feels. I never want to go through the pain of having my legs broken and my eyes gouged out again. It was horrible."
Fear was written on Ollie
