Vivienne's expression changed drastically. She felt as though her heart was being ripped apart by an unknown force. Her voice came out desperate. "Albert, I'll change my ways! I'm no longer a coward, and I won't throw tantrums anymore! I'll also learn how to contribute to this relationship and learn how to love you back too! Please give me one more chance, okay?" But Albert merely gazed back with resolve burning in his eyes. "It's too late now, Vivi. I've already fallen for Melanie." Tears were quick to cascade down Vivienne's cheeks. She screamed, "How is she worthy of your love? She's just a decoration—a wife who was bound to you by contract! She has no right to gain your love!" Melanie's face popped into Albert's mind at that moment. He recalled how her eyes were often calm and serene, her face always adorned with a small smile. He stated firmly, "Melanie's worth my love. She's polite, gentle, and strong; not to mention, she's never unreasonable. She often shoulders all the bur
