Chapter 1398 The Assassin and the Lone Damsel 13
Two contrasting rumors were released, and the people discussed them fervently. However, they were more inclined toward the latter.
They didn't know whether Franklin had killed Roger and his wife, nor did they know if he wanted to take over the Moone's family business.
However, they did witness the actions of the Durands and other members of the Moone family.
…
After two weeks of recuperation at the Moone residence, Franklin announced that he was leaving again.
"Protect Ms. Moone when I'm not around," Franklin instructed Phantom.
"Don't worry. Even at the cost of my life, I'll guard your wife's safety," Phantom assured loudly, patting her chest, and Franklin gave her a nod.
"You… must be careful. Don't get hurt," Demi said with a trace of worry and took out a small box with a rosary inside.
"I got this for you. I hope it will keep you safe," she added.
Franklin's eyes wavered, and he took it from her. "Thank you."
Only then did Phantom know why Demi went to church that day.
