"Dad, I already told you. Lyle asked me to check with you, and I forgot. That's on me," Melinda said, still covering her face, yet continuing to defend Lyle.
"Melinda, Lyle, I may be old, but I'm not senile. Don't think I can't see right through your little act," Eddie said coldly.
