When Melody came out of the theater, her eyes were bright and sparkling, and there was even a slight smile on her face. She opened the car door and got in with a cup of tea in her hand. Then, she cautiously asked Jeremy, "Have you had dinner?" Jeremy answered, "I ate at the Wardolfs." Melody glanced at him, then handed him the tea. "Do you want to try this? It's black peach tea. It's really nice." Then, as if she were worried that Jeremy would dislike it, she quickly added, "I just bought it on my way out." When Melody was coming out, she happened to run into a lady who was buying tea. The lady cheerfully beamed when she said that she was going to be seeing her boyfriend later and that she was getting the tea for him. The lady's smile had probably touched something in Melody, so she was influenced to buy one herself.
