Abigail was surprised, then hugged Margaret's arm with a sweet smile. "Why do you think I'm smiling through the pain, Grandma?"
Margaret raised her hand, gently patting Abigail's shoulder. "Just a feeling, sweetie."
Abigail made a silly face to lighten the mood. "Guess I've been a bit off today, huh?"
Margaret shook her head slightly, her voice tinged with worry. "As I grow older, it gets tougher to understand what's going through you young people's heads. I can't always be there to help. When I mentioned wanting great-grandchildren, I was just chatting. If you don't want to have kids, that's totally fine. I won't pressure you. What I really want is for you to find happiness in your own way. That's what's important."
Abigail looked at Margaret and said with sincerity, "You don't owe me anything, Grandma, and you don't need to worry about me all the time. You always say you want me to be happy, and I want the same for you. Your happiness and good health mean everything to me."
