On the fourth day, Melody returned. When Abigail saw her at the studio door, she was taken aback by how pale Melody looked. "What happened, Mel?" Abigail rushed to help her friend sit down and handed her a glass of water.
With trembling hands, Melody took a sip and whispered, "I lost my baby."

But on my last visit, they didn't."
