As Robert walked out of the dim corridor of the bar, he glanced back with a frown-he hadn't expected to be called out for such a reason, and the person waiting to meet him? It was Louise.
"Why'd you let him go? I was planning to set you two up, you know?"
"I'm not into him. If you're that bored, maybe it's time you got yourself a job," Louise quickly changed the subject.
"Let's not go there. Cheers!"
Louise sighed and clinked her glass reluctantly.
Ten minutes later, she was watching Clara slump over with a hand to her cheek, feeling a sharp headache. "You drunk already?"
"‘Course not! I can still drink more!"
Clara struggled to sit back up from where she was slouched over the bar, hands shaking slightly as she grabbed her glass. "Hey, one more!"
"Okay, that's enough. You're wasted."
She'd ordered vodka-already strong stuff. After three rounds, even Louise was starting to feel dizzy. Clara, who hardly ever drank, stood no chance.
