She washed that stained silk scarf so carefully, not daring to hang it on the balcony-afraid the wind might blow it away, or someone might just take it.
It was late autumn, and she had the fan on full blast, holding the scarf in her hands, gently letting the air dry it flat. Once it looked smooth enough, she stood in front of the mirror, mimicking the tutorial she saw online, and tied the pricey little scarf snugly around her neck.
Sienna stared at herself in the mirror, feeling like a whole new person. She looked better than usual, almost like she'd been upgraded somehow.
A few minutes later, that tweet she'd posted, the one that got flamed so bad she had to shut down the comments, got pulled up again. She was lying in bed, holding a book, slightly angled at around 45 degrees toward the camera. The caption read, "Reading at home today."
The scarf peeked subtly into view, just a casual part of the shot-as if it wasn't a big deal at all.
