Chapter 241
The three of them walked out of Sienna's apartment together. Louise had originally planned to just head home straight away.
But then Oliver mentioned he hadn't even had dinner yet, so the trip home ended up including a detour-with him tagging along.
Inside Silvergate Residences, Dominic was alone in the kitchen, busying himself with dinner. Meanwhile, Louise went upstairs to grab her backup laptop from the study.
"Wanna watch it too?" Oliver flopped down beside her on the couch, clearly curious about the disc that had pushed her to kick a door open just to get it.
Louise didn't say no. She slipped the disc into the laptop and hit play.
The screen lit up with a plain white ceiling.
Louise stared at it quietly. A few seconds later, a cold voice drifted through the speakers. "That little girl's been locked in there good. I've already had her roughed up a few times. She's been scared quiet, like a little puppy. No worries."
That voice-Louise had heard it countless times in prison.
