Ian's tone suddenly turned sharp. "She went crying to you?"
Louise set her coat down and turned to face her, noticing the resentment written all over Ian's expression. Her brow arched slightly. "Whether she did or not isn't the point. Care to explain why you two were arguing in the first place?"
She'd originally planned to give Ian a few cold days to reflect after the last incident. But instead of improving, her work attitude had only gone downhill. Louise had been meaning to talk to her but hadn't gotten around to it yet.
Now with this spat blowing up, the timing couldn't be better to clear things up.
"I didn't argue with her," Ian said through clenched teeth, clearly trying to keep her temper in check-but that underlying anger was still coming through, and Louise wasn't about to let that slide.
