Chapter THIRTY SIX

Jessica watched as they got out and the room fell silent. Ever since Leslie got inside she had been going on and on nonstop about everything she found worth talking about. Now that she was alone she missed the chatter. She was only glad she was able to successfully uproot Xavier who had refused to leave the hospital room all day.   She stretched to retrieve the remote from the cupboard and switched it on to a soap opera.
