Nicole was about to cry when she turned around and saw Deborah standing behind her.
She quickly straightened her face and held her tears back. "Why did you eavesdrop on my conversation with Holden? Do you have no shame?"
Deborah smiled. "First of all, I didn't eavesdrop. I was just standing there. Secondly, you didn't converse either. It was one-sided. If I wasn't blind, I think Holden couldn't be bothered with you."
"You!" Nicole was so angry that she stood up. "Don't be so arrogant! You and Holden can't be together!"
Deborah laughed. "Did Holden say that?"
Holden, who had gone out to get some fresh air, happened to hear this. He stepped forward and said, "I didn't say anything."
Nicole was speechless. Her eyes reddened again.
Deborah subconsciously glanced at Holden. He had a long face, indicating a sleepless night again.
