Chapter 15
Bellatrix wasn't sure how long she had been sleeping for when suddenly, the feeling of something heavy pressing down on her body had woken her up
Opening her eyes, the first thing she noticed was a pair of dark brown eyes staring right back at her.
A soft gasp escaped her once she recognized who they belonged to and she moved to sit up. But the moment she did, Cillian pressed her down, keeping her from getting up.
"What...what are you doing–" She began, but Cillian immediately cut her off, gripping her injured shoulder so hard that she winced.
But the pain didn't matter. What was he doing here? She wondered, and like an indirect answer, she happened to catch a whiff of the strong scent of liquor, hanging around him like perfume.
Was he...was he drunk?
"You're drunk aren't you, get off me," She demanded, trying her best to push him away. However, Cillian only tightened his hold on her more, pushing her down, pinning her to the bed.
"Aren't you quick to chase your husband away," He hissed. "But when it comes to that man, you're willing to allow him to embrace you, take a hit for him."
Bellatrix gritted her teeth, but she had no intention of engaging in this conversation with him. "It seems you've had too much to drink, Cillian, please leave, or else–"
"Or else what?" He was quick to interrupt, using one of his hands to grab her chin and force her to look him straight in the eyes.
Staring back at those cold eyes, Bellatrix felt a shiver run down her spine, but couldn't bring herself to look away.
"You've really grown bold as of late, Bellatrix. Not only do you now have the guts to humiliate me in public, but now you're threatening me,”
Humiliate him? When has she done that? Bellatrix thought with a frown. But just as she opened her mouth to speak, Cillian continued.
"You now have the guts to do all that because that bastard showed you a bit of attention. Since it's like that, let me give you a warning," Leaning in, Bellatrix felt his breath graze her face, hot and thick with the stench of alcohol. "From now on, I don't want to see you around that bastard. The next time I see you around him, I won't hesitate to put him in a coma and your father's company would suffer the consequences of your stupidity."
Hearing this, Bellatrix felt a rush of anger and she struggled to free herself, but Cillian's weight only seemed to pin her down more.
However, that did not stop her from glaring at him. "If you dare do anything to my father's company–"
"What would you do, Bellatrix?” Once again, he interrupted her. “If anything happens to your father's company, it's going to be your fault. If you don't want that to happen," Leaning in closer, he paused briefly, allowing his eyes to scan her glaring ones, before adding. "You'll do as I say."
"Now," Getting off her, he commanded. "Strip."
Bellatrix's eyes went wide instantly. "What?"
Cillian did not hesitate to repeat his words. In a remorseless and cold tone, he said, "Lose the clothes."
Hearing this, Bellatrix could only but stare at him as if he'd gone insane. But seeing the dead seriousness in his eyes, she felt a chill run down her spine and subconsciously wrapped her arms around herself, pulling the shirt tighter around her body.
"I won't repeat myself." He hissed.
"You've lost your mind!" She snapped, her chest rising and falling in anger, while her glare intensified.
"Maybe I have. But Bella," The nickname dripped with a kind of venom that made her heart twist upon hearing it. "The life and death of your father's company is based on your obedience. If you don't want anything to happen to it, I suggest you strip. Now."
For a second, Bellatrix was left speechless. Her mind was racing a thousand miles a minute, trying to process everything that had just been said.
Cillian had lost his mind and his words were a direct threat. The company...her father's company, he was threatening to harm it?
Did he even know how much that was going to harm her father's health? He had barely, by the grace of God, that was, survived the last one.
Now, he was threatening to send him back into a state of despair.
Clenching her teeth, Bellatrix dug her nail into her palm. She knew Cillian wasn't one to bluff. If he says he's going to do something, then he is going to do it.
If she refused, her father's company would once again be at risk.
She could feel the tears building in her eyes, but willed them not to fall. Instead, she focused on her nails, which were already beginning to draw blood.
As the sharp pain blossomed from her palm, she slowly stood up from the bed.
If it was for her father, then she was willing to do anything.
She thought, as she grabbed the hem of her shirt and pulled it over her head. Then went for the joggers Damien had lent her.
For a second, she hesitated, because when the champagne had poured all over her, her underwear had become sticky, wet and uncomfortable, so as a result, she had to take it off when she was changing into joggers.
And removing said joggers would mean being completely bare in front of Cillian.
"Do I look like I have forever?" Cillian's cold voice sliced through her haze of hesitation.
Taking a deep breath, she mustered the courage to do it. Pulling it down, she stood completely bare in front of Cillian, her cheeks burning bright red, her heart thudding in her chest and her arm wrapped around chest.
However, no matter how humiliating this was, she kept her eyes locked with his, unwilling to show him a moment of weakness.
"Happy?" She muttered through gritted teeth.
Cillian however, did not respond. From where he sat on the bed, his eyes explored Bellatrix's body and he felt his blood boil when he realized that what he was seeing, Damien had also seen as much.
Getting up, he suddenly approached her. Bellatrix instinctively took a step back, but Cillian was quicker, wrapping his hand around her wrist, gripping her chin between his fingers and angling her face up to meet his.
Bellatrix immediately tried to jerk her head away, saying in the process. "You're a maniac."
"A maniac?" The corners of Cillian's lips turned upwards the moment he heard this. "It seems you still have so much energy to insult me. Let's change that, shall we?"
In an instant, before she could react, Bellatrix felt a strong hand grab the back of her head and suddenly, without hesitation, Cillian's lips crashed into hers.
The first thought that crossed her mind was to push him away. But as soon as she recalled the threat he made to her father's company, and how it depended on her obedience, the urge immediately faded away and against her better judgement with a searing ache in her chest and a feeling of patheticness, she allowed him to have his way.

Although there wasn't anything wrong with her, Regina allowed the doctor carry out a regular check up on her.
Once it was done, she transferred some money to the doctor's account and collected the fabricated result that stated that her condition has worsened.
"What are you going to do if Mr. Laurent ever finds out that you're–" Before the doctor could finish speaking, Regina glared at her, the intensity enough to shut her up.
"That's a problem for me to worry about. All you need to do is your job."
After saying that, she dismissed the doctor, but as she door opened, instead of Cillian to walk in, his assistant did.
"Where... where's Cillian?" She asked.
"It seems Mr. Laurent had an urgent matter to handle. He instructed I stay here until the check up was done and keep him updated.
Regina frowned, not liking the sound of that. However, she managed to keep a smile on her face as she said, "Ah, I see, I understand. Well, the check up has concluded, I'll forward the results to him, so you can leave."
"I understand, have a nice night, Miss Regina," Kane said, giving a curt nod before walking out of the room.
As soon as he was gone, the smile on her face disappeared.
Urgent matter? Urgent matter her foot! It was obvious that Cillian had something on his mind, the entire ride home, he was quiet and had been zoned out. And that had happened after he'd left the party, so she had a strong feeling it was because of a certain person.
Gritting her teeth, she quickly got out her phone and dialed a number.
It seems Bellatrix has forgotten her position as the miserable person she is. It was time to remind her.
