Chapter 9-02
"Yeah, I'm fine. How was your day?"
He picked up the pot and carried it to the sink to dump the water out. "It was stressful," he muttered.
"What happened?" I asked curiously.
"Same thing that's happening to the other packs," he responded placing the pot back on the stove and turned to face me.
He stared at me for a moment before turning back around and poured Alfredo sauce that he made over the pasta. He stirred it in before adding some other stuff. I couldn't cook so I didn't know the names of anything.
He placed a plate in front of me. "Mom is out with Peyton so we don't need to save anything for her," he told me as he filled a plate for Preston and himself.
A few seconds later, Preston walked in, his hair messy as if he had just woken up from a nap.
