Chapter 16

'Weeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!' I ran happily through the clearings with Carl just right on my tail. I didn't manage to get very far when he pounced on me and pinned me onto the ground. I giggled happily and looked at him with happiness. Carl nuzzled his nose into my fur and licked it tenderly. I purred in contentment and lay comfortably on the grass. Carl lay next to me. I immediately snuggled closer to him. I closed my eyes and enjoyed the breeze that was blowing my fur. Together with the breeze, there was his smell. His woody sweet scent. Both of us just lay on the grass peacefully, not making any sound. Since I was not marked, I couldn't mind link him. I couldn't hear Carl's voice. All I could do was lying beside him, enjoying his accompany and hearing his steady heart beat which magically calmed me down. I wriggled in his arms and turned myself to face him. I love you.
