Liam needs to leave. Now.
I stand there, hands in my pockets, glaring at him like he’s overstayed his welcome—because he has.
“Liam. Go.”
Liam looked between me and Lauren, eyes flicking to her like he’s debating whether to stay. But Lauren doesn’t stop him. She’s standing stiff, tense, refusing to meet my gaze.
I didn’t need to explain why finding them like that was a problem.
Liam exhales, lifting his hands. “Alright, alright. But if you start breaking things, let me know so I can place bets.” With that, he disappears into the park, leaving me with my Luna who looked like she got caught. And she had.
The second he’s gone, I step toward Lauren. She flinches, backing up a step, but she’s not escaping this. Not again.
I took a deep breath, trying to calm myself before speaking to her. ”Are you going to tell me what’s going on now?” I demand, voice low.
She lifts her chin, arms crossed tight. “Nothing is going on, Alexander.”
