Chapter 6-7

Alpha Kendrick's POV (Jacqueline's dad) "Well, I don't know what telling her will accomplish, but I will see what I can do. Also, I need to come over to talk to you. It'll have to wait until after this weekend though. Probably Monday? But, I don't know yet seeing as I got some pack business to take care of." I told him. "Ok sir. I will see you next week." He said. Then he hung up. After that conversation, I made a note to talk to Jacqueline about it when I see her this weekend. I know she won't talk to him, but I still had to tell her. Then I went back to reading the treaty. Once I was done reading it, I made another copy of it so that both of us would have a copy of it. Then, I went to talk to my son. I found my son, Antoine, in the game room with a few of his friends. "Antoine, I need to talk to you for a minute. I need your help with something important." I told him. "Ok, dad. What do you need my help with?" He asked as soon as he got into the hallway. "I am going to see Jacqueline this weekend." I told him. "At the Morning Star pack?" He asked. "No. She no longer lives there." I said as we reached the office. He went to talk but I silenced him with a hand movement. "She left, that's all I will say until she says I can tell anyone the whole story. But, I need help with finding eight people, four guys and four girls." "Why?" He asked. "Because, it looks like your sister has made a pack. They only have eight people including your sister. They are the smallest pack, and even with getting eight more people they will still be the smallest pack. The smallest pack I have seen has fifty members. But, according to the elders, your sisters pack is the smallest and strongest." I told him. He seemed surprised by this. "How are they the strongest pack?" He asked. "Well, Jacqueline was trained just like you were. So she knows how to fight. She trained the Morning Star pack, and one of her new members was a warrior for his old pack." I explained. "Did the elders witness them fight?" He asked. "Yes. They said it was remarkable. They had only been a pack for a month and they were deemed the smallest yet strongest pack in the world." I told him. I watched him open and shut his mouth like a fish. "So, do you have any ideas on who we can send to join their pack? I want one tracker, one warrior, and someone with doctor training." "Quan has doctor training. We could send four of the mateless females. I can think of four ladies right now, they haven't found their mates and maybe their mates could be in Jacqueline's pack. They are Lydia, Stephanie, LaRhette, and Anabella. Then the guys we could send are Cameron who is one of our best trackers, Zane who is a fearless and tough warrior and Nick." He said. "Alright, thank you Antoine." I said. "I will bring them to your sister." He nods his head and left. Jacqueline's POV "Guys come on, my dad will be here any minute. I want to have everyone out there to meet him. He is helping us so come on. Get your act together." I told everyone. It's Friday, and the day my dad is coming. So I'm trying to get my pack members on the ball. We had to clean the house, make food for him and the pack members he brought with him. "We're ready. Let's go outside." Marty said. He's excited to meet my dad. As soon as we got outside, I heard cars on our driveway. "He's almost here." I said excited. My pack members all stood on my sides, looking anxious yet excited, while I was standing there shaking with excitement. My dad got out of the car and ran over to me, picking me up and giving me a hug. "Oh my dear child, I missed you. I need to talk to you but right now let's go catch up on what I have missed these past few months." He said. "You guys, get to know the pack members here. Remember we are the guests so be respectful." He told his pack members. We hears a lot of 'Yes, sirs' before we headed towards my office to catch up. "Ok dad, what all would you like to know?" I asked. "Well, I know why you left, so let's talk about what has happened since you got here. How did you become the strongest pack in the world when your pack is so small?" He asked. "Well, you know how you trained me when I was younger?" I asked. He nodded his head yes. "Well, I trained this pack along with Marty who was a pack warrior in his old pack. His old pack is ruthless so they had some fierce training. And Alexander's pack was trained by me, so I used your training along with my training and threw Marty's training in as well. " I told him. "Well, I would like to see some of your pack members fight. See how good their training is. But, first, I gotta tell you something." He said. "Alright, what is it?" I asked. "Alexander called me. He wanted to know where you are and how you are and everything. I flipped out on him. Told him what I thought about him and his wanting to 'protect' you. But he wanted to tell you that he's sorry and that he wants you back." He said. I couldn't help it, I started laughing. "Why does he want me back? He did this to himself. And, besides, I am so over his 'I'm sorry'. He says that every time he does something wrong. Dad, I can't go back to him. I won't. He cheated. So now he's gonna have to live with that. Now, let's go watch my pack fight. Want them to fight some of your members?" I asked. "Some of mine?" He asked. "Yeah. The members you brought." I replied. "Oh. Those ain't my members anymore. They're yours. I brought them here to join your pack." He said. "How many did you bring?" I asked. "Four men and four women. Not all of them have found their mates. So maybe they can find their mates here. And yes your members can fight the new members." He said. "Alright dad, let's go." I said. We walked down to the living room where everyone was sitting. "Guys my dad wants to see how our pack fights. So let's show him and the newest members." I told my pack. We all went outside, the new pack members went to one side and my original pack members went to the other side. "Ok. You will be fighting with the new pack members. The only ones that will not be fighting is pregnant women. The rules are simple, first one to get the other to submit wins, no fatal blows and fight with all you got." As soon as I said that everyone paired up to fight besides 3 women, including me. Then my dad, the women and I sat down to watch the fight. Marty won his fight. Tommy won his fight. But Domonick let his attention go elsewhere and lost his fight. My dad was impressed by the pack's fighting. After the fight we went in to eat, relax and get to know each other better. "If you ever come back to America, will you come by the pack house so you can train with my pack?" My dad asked. "We would love to dad." I said. The rest of the night and weekend consisted of watching movies, training and telling stories about our pasts. Dad is getting ready to leave. I couldn't help but to break down crying. "Don't worry sweetheart, I'll be back. This is just a little break. I will come here once a month. But I need to go see Alexander and before I do that I have to make a decision." He said. "What kind of business with Alexander? You're not going to tell him where I am are you?" I asked him. "Why would I tell him where you are? He had his chance with you and he blew it. No this business is purely alpha business. It's time that I made him see his mistakes. " He said. "Alright dad, just don't let anything slip out. I know how you get when you get angry. He can't know that I'm pregnant. He also can't know where I am or how I am doing." I told him. "I know sweetheart. Now, I gotta go, my flight leaves in 2 hours. I love you and will see you in a month." He said. "I love you too dad. Be careful and see you in a month." I told him. He then got in the car he drove, seeing how the other pack members were staying here and just bought the cars they drove. Later, I even found out one of the members he brought me was a pack doctor called Quan, who could take care of my pregnant condition. My father is always so caring for me. Alpha Kendrick's POV Leaving my daughter was hard. But, I also knew that I had to get this alpha business dealt with. I told Alexander I would be there after this weekend. So I'm going to go over there tomorrow. After I call to let him know of course. I now know I have to figure out whether to keep the treaty with his pack or make the treaty void. I still remember when the treaty was first drawn up. Flashback The Morning Star pack had just called and wanted to know if we would ally with them in case of a war between packs. I didn't see no fault in it so I said yes and I started writing it out. The stipulations at first were: 1.) If one of the 2 packs need any help, the other will help them out. 2.) We will call upon them when we need assistance in a fight. 3.) If we lost our territory or vice versa, the packs would share their land. Of course that was until I found out that Jacqueline and Alexander were mates. Then I added some stipulations. 1.) My pack, the Night Star pack, will not declare war or void this treaty as long as the Morning Star pack, who has my daughter, Jacqueline's mate in it, does not deceive her in any way, shape or form. She must be protected and not be hurt, whether intentionally or not. Her mate must mark her in 2 years and she cannot feel like she was mistreated in anyway. Breaking these terms can and may make this treaty void. The next day I went to the Morning Star pack, and the Alpha signed it. He even had Alexander sign it, but Alexander was so focused on Jacqueline that he didn't pay attention to what he was signing. Flashback ends
