It was still that same restaurant. Together, they finished the meal they'd left untouched before.
Sebastian had clearly gone out of his way this time-the dishes were even fancier than last time, the wine was vintage, personally brought by him, and there was now an expensive grand piano by the floor-to-ceiling window.
Everything screamed goodbye.
The silver candleholder flickered under the warm lighting, and in the soft glow, they looked at each other calmly. It had been seven years since they first met.
Sebastian poured Elaria half a glass of wine, his voice low. "Try some. I went out of my way to get it. The caviar's good too-I made sure before they served it."
Elaria softly asked, "Why?"
He smiled faintly. "You mean, why go through all this trouble? Because Liam did it, so I should too."
Elaria dropped her gaze and gave a small, emotionless smile.
It had been a long time since they got along like this-maybe it was because they both knew, this was the end. So they stopped arguing.
