Elizabeth and I talked for a while, and I found that we really hit it off far more than I ever could have expected. It was nice to have a normal conversation with someone, especially after everything I had been through in the last few weeks. She was intelligent, brave, and confident—everything I hoped to be. I could see why there were so many rumors that her father planned to make her Alpha when he was ready to retire; I could tell that she would be a wonderful leader.
