Chapter 3

♡ Lauren’s POV ♡ We turned to look in the direction of the sound. Mrs. Judith, book in hand, looked angrily at the group of students before her. Magee saw Mrs. Judith striding this way, and he leaned over to my ear and said, "This isn't over yet.” The breath from his mouth tickled my ears. Then he let go of my hands and put them in his pockets. Swagger to the classroom. Of course, because of his family background, Lady Judith did not dare to ask too much of him. So she walked up to me and yelled, "What are you doing standing here? Go to class.” I turned quickly and ran back to the classroom, leaving Mrs. Judith where she was, cursing like a joke. When I got to the classroom, most of the students had taken their seats. Including Magee and his friends. They usually sit at the back of the classroom. I took a seat near the corridor, not wanting to get too close to them. Just as I was wondering why his blonde girlfriend hadn't arrived, Polly walked in, followed by her best friend Tracy. Polly has a good figure. She wears a halter top and a miniskirt. She walked into the classroom with her high heels going "rat-a-tat". But her eyes are brown and my eyes are Finger. My eyes are the place WHERE I'm most satisfied with my appearance, because they are so rare. She has long blond hair, just like me. Magee has been going out with his girlfriend since junior high school. His girlfriends all have long blond hair. When he went to university, he had fewer girlfriends, and Polly was often around. Polly wiggled her back and back toward the classroom. All the boys have to peep at her, because everyone knows she is Magee's lady. I focused my attention on the book on my desk. I was going to preview what I was going to read. What I didn't notice was that Polly and Tracy needed to pass through the hallway next to me on their way to Magee. Suddenly, a strong smell of perfume entered my nose. I felt like I was about to pass out. I looked up and saw Polly and Tracy getting closer. I have a feeling they're not gonna make it through. Things got worse for me at school when Polly and Magee got together. They won't miss an opportunity to hurt me. I still don't understand why these girls hate themselves so much. Maybe they're just used to picking on me with Magee. Sure enough, they deliberately swept the books and stationery on my desk to the floor as they passed by. I roll my eyes toward the ceiling and mumble "So Childish" as I squat down to pick up stationery. I think I was a little loud for her to hear. Because I felt the sound of high-heel shoes stopped in the next second, a vicious stare at my back, as if to create a hole in my work. But pretty soon, I heard Magee say, "Come here, baby.” Polly flashed her sweetest smile and walked over to the seat next to Magee. She sat down and still pointed at me and said something in Magee's ear. It's like an indictment of how badly I bullied her. Wasn't I the one being bullied? Am I not the one who should feel wronged? I couldn't help but lament my fate. When I had put away the toys, Mrs. Judith finally came into the classroom. She walks too slowly. After Mrs. Judith started, I had to struggle to control myself and focus all my attention on what she was saying. Because Magee and Polly kept chirping from the back of the room. And I always feel like I have to look at myself from time to time. During the last 10 minutes of the class, Mrs. Judith suddenly said, "There are more than two months left in the semester, and I need you to form a team of two and work on a project together.” I suddenly had a bad feeling when I heard about the assignment. "Tina and Victor.” "Angela and Zack.” "Joanna and Jay.” Mrs. Judith paired off and called out the group members' names. I prayed for a good match until I heard her say, "Lauren and Magee.” You're kidding!
