Meanwhile, an expressionless Jayden walked toward the stairs to head down. Right as he turned the corner to the stairs, he saw Amelia by the stairs on the second floor.
He'd just met Tobias, and now he'd bumped into Tobias' so-called fiancee. All excitement in his eyes vanished, replaced by a hint of iciness.
He walked up to Amelia coldly. In a neutral tone, he remarked, "I didn't think that you had a hobby of eavesdropping too."
Amelia was absolutely innocent. She explained, "I wasn't eavesdropping on purpose. I just happened to overhear the conversation while I was on my way to look for my grandmother."
Nonetheless, Jayden didn't seem to care whether she was eavesdropping or not. He simply asked frigidly, "Where is it?"
Amelia stiffened slightly. She could tell that he wasn't in a great mood right now. She pursed her lips, then pulled the dagger he'd asked for out of her bag.
