This time, Amelia didn't find Jayden's temper unpleasant. Instead, she nodded cheerfully. "Okay, I'll get busy, then."
With that, she turned and went to the medicinal herbs, beginning to weigh and divide them into even portions. Jayden glanced at Amelia suspiciously, finding her inexplicably odd.
He'd just spoken to her in such an unfriendly tone, yet instead of getting upset, she'd cheerfully gone about her business. Before this, she'd been the type to glare at him and lose her temper.
How had her temperament improved so much in such a short time? What had gotten into her?
