Chapter 13

Thinking about it now, she is stupid. After so many years, she was too tired to chase. Her resolute words made James look at her eyes deeper and she met his gaze and asked him with a smile of self-deprecation. "James, do you love me?" He stiffened, and then pressed his lips without saying a word. He gave her the best answer in silence. "I do not love you" At this moment, Giselle finally gave up completely. She tried to make herself less embarrassed and tried to make her emotions look normal. "You don't love me. For you, I am dispensable. If you love someone, losing the other person should make you feel like it's heart-piercing." "I think you know exactly what this feeling is like. When she told you about breaking up, it hurts you, so you're drunk on the street—" Before she could finish her words, she was interrupted by James's roar. "Giselle!" Perhaps it was that the past was exposed by her without warning and mercilessly, James was rather irritated. His original deep eyes were full of hostility. "Don't be self-righteous here!" A warning and threatening word completely declared the end of the conversation between the two. Giselle raised her face and smiled at him and her smile cold and pale. "Okay, then I'll wait and see." Then she left the living room without looking back, headed straight downstairs and left. This time she didn't even drive the car and James received a text message from her after a while on her cell phone: You bought the car and returned it to you. Looking at the text message, James almost fell the phone. This was obviously not the result he wanted. He clearly wanted to have a good talk with her, but in the end, he became more and more stiff. In his opinion, he was willing to take the initiative to explain to her that he had never thought of reconciling with Pia to keep her, but she had to rise to the point of loving her or not. How could he not be annoyed? Well, since she insists on divorcing, then he won't make her happy. He took his mobile phone and made a call, and said angrily, "Contact the lawyer and tell I am going to visit him." She doesn't even have a lawyer, so he sees how she is going to fight the divorce lawsuit. Giselle abandoned the car, took a taxi and returned to Xia's residence. Xia told her before to let her live here temporarily for this period of time. Xia's house is a small two-bedroom and one living room, so it can accommodate both of them. The house was previously bought by Xia and his ex-husband Samuel. During the divorce, the lawyer Giselle hired for Xia, tried his best to win the house to Xia and let Samuel out. When Xia was at the most difficult time, Giselle assisted her, which is why Xia is now helping her. After returning to Xia's residence, Giselle felt that her top priority now was to find a job quickly, so she continued to devote herself to making a good resume. For a person like her, who married as soon as she graduated and later gave birth to a child and became a housewife, it is more difficult to produce a beautiful and eye-catching resume. In the end, she was a little discouraged. For any company's recruitment, the first thing the personnel department looks at is the resume. People with rich work experience on the resume are within the priority range, but how could she have any work experience in the past few years? Her experiences comprise taking care of children, figuring out James's mind and learning how to go from ardent love to death. After talking to Giselle, James picked up his suit jacket and tie and planned to leave. However, as soon as he moved, the pain on his hand worsen and he felt a bit tingling sensation on his arm. He went into the bathroom and took off his shirt, and found that there were also large and small bruises on his arms. All of which were pinched by her hand when he was carrying her. He reluctantly put on his shirt again, cursing the woman viciously in his heart. It's really hateful! Why didn't he know that she was so rude for so many years? First, he slapped him in front of all the banquet guests last night, and then bit and pinched him again today. Is there really such a woman like her? He angrily kicked the door open and strode away. When he went downstairs and passed his parents' bedroom, he paused and glanced at the closed bedroom door, and then left without looking back with a cold snort. When his mother left without leaving any memories with Faith, he saw the pain in his father's eyes. However, for a father who did not take his son at heart, he would not have a trace of concern. Giselle met James again at the gate of her daughter's kindergarten two hours later. She came to pick up her daughter from school. Obviously, he did too. The black Bentley he often drove was parked on the side of the road and he was leaning against the car and calling. He's wearing suits and leather shoes and looks cool and elegant. Giselle feels ironic that her daughter has been in kindergarten for more than half a year, and she has never seen him pick up her daughter to school. Today, he came to pick her up in the morning and picked it up again in the afternoon. It would really be hard for her to fight for the custody of her daughter. He gave him a contemptuous look, then walked to the entrance of the kindergarten and stood there waiting. When she came to pick up her daughter every day, she used to arrive a while earlier to wait for her at the door because she didn't want the little girl to look forward to her every time. She hoped that her daughter would be able to see her as soon as she came out.
