Rey’s pov :
I waited and waited for several days, growing more impatient by the hour. Finally, I sent someone to the University of Finance and Economics to investigate, only to discover that Sophie hadn’t dropped out of school at all!
"What a stupid family," I muttered under my breath, my frustration boiling over. "They can’t even handle such a simple task."
When the news reached me, I was so furious I nearly lost control. I had risked so much by going to Sophie’s family in person, carefully instructing them on what to do. How could they fail so miserably? All they had to do was trick Sophie into coming home, put her in a car, and send her back to her hometown. That would have been the end of it! But no, Sophie was still comfortably staying at school, completely unaffected.
I dismissed all the servants, needing a moment alone to collect my thoughts. As I paced the room, I reminded myself, "Luckily, I had another trick ready."
