Chapter 23
Sophie’s pov ;
Watching the students being taken away by the teachers, a strange mix of relief and exhaustion washed over me.
The entire classroom had been filled with spectators—people who came just to see the drama, not caring how much it hurt.
Now, under the supervision of the school, they were being forced to write down their names, classes, and the names of their counsellors.
They probably thought they'd get away with it, but watching their nervous faces now, I could see how wrong they were.
I sighed. They didn't expect their little "fun" would lead to something so serious. I could tell they regretted it now, especially when they realized their actions were going to be recorded in their permanent files. I heard a few of them muttering about how it was all Jack’s fault, blaming him for starting the rumours and pulling them into this mess.
Typical—they never take responsibility for their own actions.
