Half an hour later, the car pulled up in front of Absolute Zero.
As soon as Lucius stepped out, he caught sight of a familiar face—it was Darrell.
The two tall men, both caught off guard, stared at each other for a moment before Darrell broke the silence. "What a coincidence."
Lucius nodded slightly. "Are you out for a drink?"
Darrell gestured toward the bar entrance. "I'm just picking someone up."
Lucius raised an eyebrow. "Ms. Byron?"
Darrell immediately caught his meaning. "And you're here for Ms. Collins?"
Before either could say more, the bar doors swung open, and a small group stepped out.
Everett and Valerie were on either side of Lucinda, who was clearly drunk beyond reason.
Everett grumbled as he tried to keep her upright, "You can't hold your liquor, but you still insisted on drinking. It serves you right."
