Well, he kind of brought this all on himself, didn’t he? No one else to blame but him.
“Mr. Harrington…” Arthur tried to butter him up, voice low and small, his back almost bent in half as he stood there.
“If you came here to talk about Vivian, then there’s nothing to discuss.” Jason cut him off coldly, tone hard as nails, not giving him even a shred of hope.
Arthur’s eyes flicked to the bandages on Jason’s arm — the red stain was still obvious. Having pissed off the CEO of the Harrington Group was already bad enough, and now that the guy even got hurt... yeah, this wasn’t going to end well.
He couldn’t hide the panic brewing inside, but still tried squeezing in a word or two for Vivian, forcing a fake smile onto his face.
“Mr. Harrington, I admit this was our fault, no excuses. But for old times’ sake, can you please let my wife off this once? She just lost control because of Samantha. I should’ve kept her in check... it was my failure too.”
