"Jason..." Sophia's voice trembled with both pain and disbelief.
"Don't call me that," Jason snapped coldly, his eyes like ice. "We're not that close. Whatever happened when we were kids? Forget it. I've forgotten all of it. The Sophia I knew back then doesn't exist anymore. And hear me loud and clear—if you even think about messing with my girl again, I won't just stand by. Next time, it won’t be coffee getting dumped on you. Think gasoline or worse."
His words made Sophia’s face turn pale. Fear flickered in her eyes.
This was the first time she'd seen him like this—so cold, so terrifying.
He really wasn’t the Jason she remembered anymore.
"Baby, let’s go. She’s not worth our time. I don’t even want to look at her." Denise leaned into Jason, her voice soft but loaded with sarcasm.
Sophia's fists clenched at her sides. She was shaking with frustration.
Rubbing it in right in front of her? That was just salt in the wound.
"Alright, babe. Let’s roll," Jason wrapped his arm around Denise
