"They've been here five minutes. Try spending the hours of five am to nine am cheering within proximity of the neanderthals," Ellie spoke, resting her chin on the palm of her hand. She was busying herself with her knife in her other hand, making stabbing motions at Austin every time he tried to reach for her home fries.
"Try being one of them," Justin chimed in, leaning back on two legs of his chair and holding the booth table for balance. Aiden seemed to loose some hostility towards the poor guy at the comment, nodding his head as his shoulders relaxed. "My ears are still ringing," he muttered. Marley rubbed her boyfriend's shoulder in sympathy. Even with all of his energy and years of athleticism, anyone would be worn out by hours of football with college boys.
