#Chapter 205 – Ultimatum
My heart sinks as I look Christian in the eyes – because beyond all hope, I had been praying that he hadn’t noticed that Leo is his son. But how could I have been so naïve? Leo looks just like him - dark hair, striking grey-blue eyes. The resemblance is unmistakable. I feel a wave of guilt crashing over me.
“Admit it, Iris,” Christian continues, stepping closer. “You’ve known all along that he was mine, nor Frank’s. You’ve lied to your son. Did you lie to Frank too?”
“No,” I whisper, letting my eyes fall shut. “Frank always new – from day one, he knew. But he didn’t care – and neither did I. You can claim him all you want, but Leo – Frankie is his father in everything but genetics. Frankie was there – he held Leo when he was born. I didn’t lie to Leo because it was never a lie. He doesn’t know about you. He never needed to.”
