Chapter 126 I Dare You

"Stop pretending!" Margaret roared hysterically. "It was you! You despise Giselle because she's bullied you since she was young, so you killed her. It was you, Isabella!" Margaret wailed like a madwoman as she slumped on the ground. Her baseless accusations frustrated Isabella. Just as she was about to argue, Theodore grabbed her by her wrist and shook his head gently. They waited at the door until Margaret was tired out from all the crying. Only when she lay on the floor, sobbing, did the pair step back indoors while kicking aside the trash. Margaret shifted but did not lash out again. Theodore took a quick glance at the couch, which was covered in piles of clothing. He furrowed his brows in disdain, then pulled a clean stool over for Isabella to sit on instead. She sat down and lowered her head to look at Margaret. "Where's Richard?" she asked. Upon hearing that, Margaret looked up abruptly, her eyes empty. All of a sudden, she started laughing and crying all at once.
