Chapter 52
ALPHA AIDEN'S POV :
I nodded my head as I bid them goodbye, entered the car and left for home. While heading back home, I saw that it shined so bright at night and I looked up to the sky to see that it was a full moon tonight, the urge to howl at the sight, that excitement.
Tonight was going to be great, the pack will come out and pack members will be free to change and do activities in their wolf or human form, anyone they choose but freedom to change.
Reaching the house, I came down from the car.
"Oh your back sweeetie, where's Laila?" My mum asked as I entered the house.
"She decided to spend the night with her parents" I told her as I went upstairs to change into something comfortable for the night.
Coming down from the stairs I met with Camille who bumped into me.
"So sorry Alpha" she apologized quickly, sweetly. She was about to leave when I called her back.
"Look at me" I told her as she kept avoiding my gaze.
"Camille" I warned in a low voice, then she raised her head and looked up at me.
"Tonight is the full moon and everyone will be changing into their wolves and participating in different activities and hunting, etc" she nodded her head as she listened to me.
"Now I know you're able to talk to your wolf but what I don't know is if you're able to shift," I said with one of my brows up.
"No Alpha, I haven't shifted and I'm not able to," she answered as she looked back at her feet. Just imagine the disappointment, a mate that can't change to her wolf form.
"Why do you keep on saying things that make me detest you more?" I whispered with so much annoyance.
"Just get out of my sight, you're a disgrace Camille" I told her as I heard her sniff while turning to leave.
"No come back, you know what? I'll lock you up in my room and you will stay there till everything is done for tonight" I stated as I grabbed her tight by the arm and dragged her by the arm up to my room, no one noticed though but she will stay in that room till I'm back.
She tried to resist as I gave her a threatening glare which made her behave. Pushing her into my room, she begged me to let her out but I shut the door and locked it, taking the key with me as I left.
It was time, the night of the full moon, and we were getting ready for our transformation. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation as we gathered in the clearing, ready to let our inner wolves run free.
I stood at the front of the pack, my powerful muscles rippling under my skin. I let out a mighty roar, signaling the start of the transformation. One by one, the werewolves closed their eyes and focused on their inner beasts, allowing the full moon's magic to flow through them.
As the transformation took hold, our bodies contorted and twisted, fur sprouting from our skin as our bones elongated and reformed. In a matter of minutes, my pack of humans had become a group of powerful wolves, ready to run and hunt under the light of the full moon.
I led the way, my strong legs propelling me forward at a fierce pace. The rest of the pack followed close behind, their paws pounding against the earth as they raced through the forest.
The night was alive with the sound of our howls and the rustling of leaves as we darted between the trees. We ran for hours, chasing after prey and reveling in the freedom of our wolf forms.
When we had done enough, I led the pack back to the clearing, where we transformed back into our human forms.
Some of the meat we hunted were roasted with fire as we gathered around and ate , enjoying our time.
Soon everyone started retreating to their homes till there was no one left.
CAMILLE'S POV :
I sat in the corner of the Alpha huge room, my knees drawn up to my chest as I sobbed uncontrollably. I couldn't believe what had just happened. My mate had called me a disgrace just because I told him I couldn't shift and had dragged me up the stairs like I was trash.
"Why did you lie?" I heard my wolf Lunaris ask softly.
"There's no point and we agreed on it Luna, don't tell Alistair. Even though we love them, we can't trust them. It won't change anything" I told her in a shaky voice.
"You don't deserve this Cammy, I'm sorry I couldn't protect you when he hit you" Lunaris sniffed as she apologized.
I shook my head, "no Luna, you're also suffering. I just want us to be happy".
"One day Cammy, one day " she assured me as she tried to calm me down.
I tried to think back to what I had done to deserve such treatment, but I couldn't think of anything. I know he enjoys causing me so much pain but haven't I suffered enough.
But none of that seemed to matter to the alpha. He had a hot temper and a cruel streak, and he seemed to take pleasure in belittling and degrading me.
I wiped the tears from my face and tried to compose myself. I couldn't stay locked in this room forever. I had to find a way to leave here.
I stood up and walked over to the door, testing the handle to see if it was locked. It was, but I didn't let that deter me. I searched the room for anything I could use to pick the lock, but all I found was a broken hairbrush which I think belongs to Luna and a threadbare towel. What I'm thinking, can I even pick a lock? If I succeed in leaving this room , he will still get me.
I sat back down in the corner, defeated. It seemed like there was no way out. I buried her face in her hands and let the tears flow once again. I don't wanna think about what he will do to me when he gets back.
Suddenly the lock moves as Alpha Aiden steps in , closing and locking the door.
"Now where were we?" he said as he looked at me with eyes I couldn't read.
