23. And The Aftermath
It's been three days and I've succeeded in minimizing my compulsion to ruin her life by proposing my feelings.
Yes, I still felt so allured to her. And yes, it was definitely killing me. Of course, Peter and Tiff had made sure to keep me company through these dark days. Work also kept me busy, so that's good.
Everything was going fine.
"Everything is NOT fine!" Tiff shouts at somebody on the phone. "I specifically told you people ten batches of lilies, not five! And don't get me started with the damn white roses!"
I was sipping a soda in the living room while watching TV. Peter slowly creeps beside me, taking my soda and sips, "It's official. Tiff has finally went full berserk."
Pig, I whisper to him as he hands me back my soda. "I would be too if I was going to get married in six days."
Peter shrugs. "I just hope nothing else goes wrong."
