If we did kiss, Cameron would bring it up, wouldn't she? "No, I've been up for a while." The ringing continued and Cammie smiled at me innocently, "You should get that."
"Right." I nod my head and made my way to the living room where the ringing had been coming from. Like the dream, or hallucination, or whatever, I also felt better than before.
I checked the caller and it was unregistered, still, I answered it. Alex's voice greeted me. "H-hey, hi, Gail. It's Alex."
"Oh, hey, Alex," I catch Cameron get out of bed and into the kitchen. She was wearing my college shirt again. "sorry I couldn't get to the phone sooner, I was asleep."
"Really?" I hear her tone shift to embarrassment in a snap, "I'm sorry. I didn't know."
"That's alright." I still looked at Cammie, she was putting soup on two bowls.
"Well, I was just a little concerned since you didn't show up yesterday for coffee."
