34. The Part With Alex
She was embarrassed yet again and I smiled at her so she knew it was fine. "It's fine, beer is good, so have more if you want."
The brunette smiles at me, "Okay, this is totally out of the blue, but I have actually liked you immensely ever since I started the internship a month ago."
I gave her a nod and I couldn't help but chuckle from her confession, "Really? Since day one?" Alex nods from my question, "Well, I guess that's flattering to know."
I manage to finish my glass. I was supposed to be one-hundred percent focused with the date. Alex was terrific, despite her awkward and reserve character, and her ability to be embarrassed about everything. She was all right.
"A-and I don't expect you to reciprocate my feelings, you know," She says all blushy and high from the beer, "I know you must date a lot of people."
