The air was thick with the scent of ebony agarwood mixed with tobacco.
Cassidy frowned. Stefan had been smoking in the room—he was really upset.
Before she could say anything, he shut the door and pressed her against it. The sudden movement made her jump. "Stefan?"
The lights were off, so she couldn't see his face. In the shadows, their bodies were pressed together. Her heart skipped a beat.
His voice was low and rough. "You saw Isaac tonight."
It was a statement, not a question.
Cassidy felt troubled, knowing she had upset him.
"Yeah," she admitted.
"Do you still have feelings for him?" His lips brushed her ear, warm and teasing. A shiver ran down her spine.
They had never been this close before. Wherever Stefan's lips touched, her skin tingled, like a spark running through her.
