“We won” Anne says with a bright smile, pecking my cheeks. “And we get to keep it all; the house, the cars, everything”
“There’s no ‘win or lose’ in a divorce, Anne” Turning to face my lawyer, Mr Alfred, I extend my hands out to him. “Thanks for your hardwork”
He placed his hands in mine. “Likewise, Mr Ryan. Then, I’ll take my leave now”

“Honey, will you drop me off at home?” Anne inquired as we made our way out of the court room.
“You can go by yourself, I have to go back to work” I handed her a 100 dollar bill. “Take the bus or hail a cab”
Anne scoffed; looking from the money in my hands to meet my eyes. “I should take the bus when you could just drive me?”
“I told you, I have to get back to work. Things are quite hectic and—”
“You really have a knack of making someone feel low, do you know that? Did I force you to cheat on your wife? No, you came to me by yourself and now you are acting as if you can barely stand the sight of me” Anne dragged the dollar bill out of
