“So—you’ve finally gotten back with your ex-husband,” Stan muttered, sipping his wine.
I nodded, swirling the wine glass lightly, not taking a sip. “Mm-hm,” I hummed softly, “Our misunderstandings have been resolved now.” I said, recalling Christian's clear grunts, ‘Do not take even a sip of drink. I don't want that man to see you drunk! I don't trust him.’
Christian felt a pang of jealousy when I told him about having dinner with Stan, as I had previously promised him a friendly dinner. While hesitant, he expressed his deep affection before allowing me to go and carefully reminded me to keep him in my thoughts.
