After powering down my computer, I reclined in my chair, letting out an involuntary sigh as I gazed out the window. The clear evening sky presented a breathtaking view, illuminated by a half-moon and several bright stars.
I was, however, unable to fully appreciate the view due to my current circumstances. The weather seemed quite romantic, which only served to highlight my lack of romance in my life.
A dull ache settled in my chest. Many advised me to move on from Veronica, and if I perhaps did, then surely I wouldn't have a lack of a partner to accompany me on such nights.
