CHRISTIAN Fighting with Veronica wasn't something I planned that night. Her words, her expressions, all felt as though She was pointing toward something I was unaware of. It was strange, so many of those criticisms didn't even make sense to me. For a moment, I felt as if she were subtly alluding to our time together as husband and wife. It felt as if she were blaming me for our divorce when she was the one who ran off with her lover. I considered arguing with her, but her expressive eyes dissuaded me.
