Chapter 125 Rekindle
Giselle stared at William without blinking, waiting for his answer.
Three full minutes went by, and William still didn't say a word. In the end, even her tears had dried up.
Giselle finally understood what his silence meant.
She lowered her head and backed away. "Forget it, Will. I was just joking."
Her voice was thick with a sob she couldn't quite swallow.
Worried her condition might spiral again, William let out a quiet sigh and softened his tone. "We can talk about it another time. Since you don't want to go to the hospital, I'll take you home to see the family doctor, alright?"
His gentle tone sparked a flicker of hope in her. She nodded right away.
Only then did William buckle her seatbelt and pull the car out into the street.
Giselle watched his profile, her gaze flickering.
William hadn't said he would marry her. But he was a lot gentler than before. That was enough to make her feel confident again.
Give it a little more time, and she was sure they'd be able to rekindl
