Chapter 97 William and I Are Getting a Divorce
William's movements halted as his gaze on Jeanette darkened.
If this had been in the past, she would have happily slipped on the diamond bracelet. She wouldn't be showing such annoyance as she was now.
At that moment, realization dawned on William that Jeanette might genuinely no longer want the title of "Mrs. Ashford". He fell briefly silent and decided not to say a word.
Cordelia, however, frowned in displeasure. "Who dares to say you don't have the right? Bring them before me, and I'll teach them a lesson myself!"
Jeanette shook her head. "No one said that. I just—"
"There, there," Cordelia said, cutting Jeanette off on purpose for fear that she might blurt out something she couldn't take back. "You must've rushed over without even having a sip of water. I'll have George get you some juice to hydrate."
Jeanette could only give a small, helpless smile and accept the glass of juice George handed over.
After taking a small sip, she noticed the juice had an odd but uniquely fragr
