Chapter 6 She Hates This Perfume
Her fingers were too slender, and the tape on the ring was not tight enough, so the ring fell off her finger and rolled along the tiles to the feet of a pair of medical shoes, where brilliant diamonds glistened in the sun.
Mia Carter bent down to pick up the ring, walked over and handed it to Sophia Mitchell, "Miss, is it yours?"
The woman's voice was soft and pleasant, and it was like a magic spell in Sophia Mitchell's ears.
Sophia Mitchell looked at Mia Carter, she had a slight smile on her face, like an educated and elegant woman, the faint smell of perfume lingered around Sophia Mitchell's nose.
Sophia Mitchell's stomach was churning, and she felt the urge to throw up.
She hates the smell of this perfume.
"Thank you." Sophia Mitchell took a deep breath, took the ring from Mia Carter, put it on her ring finger slowly, and said casually, "My Honey said that this ring is five million, and it would be bad to lose it."
The smile on Mia Carter's face froze for two seconds. She glanced at the ring on Sophia Mitchell's finger, "I'm really envious of you, the wedding ring is so beautiful, but it seems that you bought it too big and it doesn't fit your hand."
Sophia Mitchell said: "It's okay if it doesn't fit, just stick it with tape, as long as it's mine."
In less than a minute of conversation, it was Mia Carter who ultimately lost.
Sophia Mitchell didn't want to talk to Mia Carter, turned and left, and Mia Carter still stood there, watching Sophia Mitchell go into the ward, clenched her hands in her pockets a little bit.
She came back not just for the family, but more for Matthew Clark.
At the beginning, because of the great disparity with Matthew Clark, it was always a knot in her heart to break up and go abroad. When she felt that she was worthy of him, Matthew Clark was already married.
She had checked Sophia Mitchell, she was beautiful and from a good family background, and she was a good match with Matthew Clark, but she was not reconciled.
After figuring out Sophia Mitchell's temperament, Mia Carter took advantage of family affairs to ask Matthew Clark several times, and deliberately sprayed on a very sticky perfume, but she didn't expect Sophia Mitchell to be so tolerant, so she didn't check her, and she didn't look for her.
Apart from her family background, how could she be better than Sophia Mitchell?
"Dr. Carter, why are you standing here?" Suddenly, Mia Carter was patted on the shoulder.
Mia Carter came back to her senses, and smiled at the doctor: "I just finished the ward round and I was thinking about the patient. Are you doing the ward round?"
"yes."
"That won't bother you."
Mia Carter casually chatted with her colleagues, and when she was about to leave, she found that the doctor had entered Sophia Mitchell's ward, squatted down, and opened her eyes wide.
If she remembers correctly, Dr. Brown treats Leukemia, right?
Four days later, Matthew Clark returned from Singapore.
What he didn't know was that Sophia Mitchell was out of the hospital today, he was on his way home and she was on her way back.
Matthew Clark, who was picked up by William Jackson, put his suitcase in the trunk. When William Jackson returned to the car, he saw that Matthew Clark was busy with his notebook and asked, "Mr. Clark, are you going to work?"
Matthew Clark was on a business trip for several days, and a lot of things were waiting for him in the company. He should also go to the company, but thinking of Sophia Mitchell's pale face before, he changed his words: "I'm very tired, let's go home first."
"Okay, Mr. Clark."
After working for a while, Matthew Clark's eyes were a little sore, and he took out his phone to check.
In the past few days, he has been devastated by the shipment, so he took the time to call Sophia Mitchell a few times, but no one answered, and Grace said nothing happened, so he ignored it.
Unexpectedly, Sophia Mitchell didn't return a single call to him.
He felt a little flustered.
When he looked up, Matthew Clark inadvertently saw a bottle of car perfume on the front seat of the car. Thinking of helping Mia Carter get home from work that day, and being too close to Sophia Mitchell, she covered her mouth and nose with a look of disgust on her face.
The man narrowed his eyes, and asked William Jackson in a deep voice, "Did you smell the perfume on me before?"
"Huh?" William Jackson hesitated, and glanced at Matthew Clark in the rearview mirror.
Matthew Clark's words sank two points, "Tell me the truth!"
"Yes, I've smelled it many times." William Jackson said, he had been with Matthew Clark for so long, he knew what Matthew Clark was thinking now, and said cleverly: "Didn't Ms. Mitchell prefer Jo Malone's perfume, did you change the perfume? "
In an instant, Matthew Clark's face was as gloomy as water.
I didn't expect the perfume to be so viscous. William Jackson had smelled it several times, not to mention Sophia Mitchell.
Could it be that Mia Carter did it on purpose?
