The people standing outside couldn't hear what Curtis and Marceline were saying, but the look on Curtis' face said it all. He was in a foul mood.
Marceline's expression paled. Her eyes flashed with a trace of viciousness before she quickly composed herself.
Nate stood nearby. When he saw her swaying unsteadily, he stepped in, concerned. "Curtis, Marceline looks like she's about to faint."
Curtis turned to look at Marceline. She braced herself against the wall and weakly said, "I'm fine. Let's address the matter at hand. I think someone already called the police, because we didn't stop them fast enough. If Mr. Wolfe Senior is alerted tonight, things could get messy."
